Mando Alvarado. Creative Director of THOSE GUYS AND THAT GIRL FILMS, LLC, is originally from Pharr, Texas. He is an actor and a writer. He has been seen in Law and Order: Criminal Intent (Manny Fiejo), Law and Order (Leo), AMW (Morales), the short film Noble Chrome Pirates (Cortez) and the feature film The Choking Man (Chef). He is a graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts in classical acting and has appeared in numerous regional theaters in NYC, Texas, North Carolina, and Washington D.C. As a writer, his play Chicklets and Tortillas was shown at Upstairs at Rose’s Turn and his one man show has played at The Kennedy Center, District of Columbia Arts Center, and Theater Alliance. His play Throat was just selected to be developed at The Field Artward Bound Residency Program and will receive a staged workshop production at The Kennedy Center’s Page to Stage Festival. He has collaborated with Michael and René since he was a kid from record mime competitions in ninth grade to appearing on stage with Michael in Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train and Our Lady of 121st to having him direct all his written plays. 7 Tales of Desperationis the first screenplay collaboration with Michael and he looks forward to many more.

Michael Ray Escamilla. Creative Director of THOSE GUYS AND THAT GIRL FILMS, LLC, is an award winning actor based in NYC and is originally from Pharr, TX. He has performed in both on and Off-Broadway productions in theatres such as Lincoln Center Theatre, The Public Theatre NYC, Classic Stage Company, Theatre for a New Audience, Cherry Lane Theatre, Soho Repertory Theatre, and INTAR. He has originated roles for award winning playwrights and screenwriters such as Jose Rivera (Motorcycle Diaries), Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost), Naomi Iizuka (Polaroid Stories, 36 Views). He has also been seen in episodes of Law and Order (as Henry Guzman) and The Job (with Dennis Leary) as well as independent films shot and produced in NYC. Musically, he is in the NYC based band The Mighty Weaklings and continues to write music for musicians as well as theatre. He currently has a production of Late (Sarah Ruhl) being produced at Stages Theatre in Houston TX., in which he wrote the music. He has collaborated with Mando and René since they were kids. You name it they did it. He has had the honor of directing all of Mando’s plays. 7 Tales of Desperationis Michael and Mando’s first screenplay together and he looks forward to many more.

René Garza. Executive Producer of THOSE GUYS AND THAT GIRL FILMS, LLC, is originally from the small town of Alamo, Texas. He has been professionally involved in the performing arts since 1992. He has successfully worked with churches, educational facilities (both K-12 and higher education), corporate users, Film/TV and numerous performing arts theatres. René has designed and artistically worked on over 40 productions ranging from live theatre to television. After earning his B.A. degree in Theatre Arts and Design from the University of the Incarnate Word, he worked and designed on various projects for corporations such as National Public Radio, Disney Entertainment, the Chuck E. Cheese Corporation and Universal Studios. René was a guest design artist, designing lighting and sound, with award winning Kitchen Dog Theater in Dallas. In 1999, René earned the Graduate Teaching Fellowship in Theatre at the University of Oregon. Today, he serves as a Senior Consultant for Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon and Williams, Inc., the nations leading consulting and design firm for entertainment venues, performing arts facilities, public assembly spaces, corporate and educational facilities. His project management skills and attention to detail have won accolades from his peers. René’s hands-on experience with such a broad range of performance experience, combined with his understanding of the financial and business process, has given him a valuable insight into how all of these elements must work together in order to produce successful projects.

Abby Paige Fenton. Executive Producer of THOSE GUYS AND THAT GIRL FILMS, LLC has been in professional fundraising for over ten years. After graduating as a Theatre major and American Studies minor from Kenyon College, Fenton moved to Baltimore to work at Center Stage where she helped raise over $14 million for their $12 million capital campaign. She then moved to Washington, DC to work for Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, one of America's leading producers of world premiere work. At Woolly she completed the second capital campaign raising almost $9 million for BREAKING NEW GROUND: The Campaign for Woolly Mammoth, originally a $7.5 million effort. During her 6 and a half years at Woolly, Fenton was also key in the major growth of Woolly's special event growing the revenue of the gala from a $15,000 to $200,000. Today, Fenton is the Director of Community Relations at ABC 7/WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8 in Washington, DC. Her responsibilities include coordinating community outreach activities, scheduling talent appearances and driving public relations initiatives for programs and station endeavors. Fenton is also the President of the Alumni Council of Kenyon College. She is thrilled to be a partner in THOSE GUYS AND THAT GIRL FILMS, LLC and looks forward to utilizing her fundraising and public relations expertise in the field of film..
